Bishop, Q, Raheem und Steel, die sich selbst als „The Wrecking Crew“ bezeichnen, sind vier afro-amerikanische Freunde, welche in Harlem aufgewachsen sind. Während des bewaffneten Raubüberfalls schießt Bishop ohne Grund dem Drugstore-Inhaber Fernando Quiles in den Kopf und tötet ihn.
