Letzendlich gelingt es ihm, dass Langford ihm zusichert, seine Probeaufnahmen anzuhören. Abgespeist mit dieser Floskel, steigt Rupert Pupkin zufrieden an der nächsten Straßenecke aus. Als Pupkins am nächsten Tag bei Langford im Büro erscheint, wird er allerdings abgewissen. Doch Rupert Pupkin gibt nicht auf…
